Resil Impactor Junior

resil_impactor_junior.jpg (9973 octets)The RESIL IMPACTOR JUNIOR, with an energy range from 1 Joule up to 25 Joules, is an ideal instrument for quality control and research. Designed as  an economic "stand-alone" pendulum, it has become the "work-horse" of the Resil Family due to its simplicity and reliability. RESIL IMPACTOR JUNIOR can also be connected to a separate PC using the optional "WinPEN" statistical software, in Windows 95, 98 and NY environments, becoming a powerful instrument for testing materials.

Standard

RESIL IMPACTOR JUNIOR is designed and built according to international standards: ISO 179, ISO 180, ISO 8256, ISO/DIS 7628-2, ASTM D 6110, DIN 53448, DIN 53453, BSI 2782-350, BSI 2782-359, BSI 7413, NF T 51-111 and others equivalent.

Outstanding Features

  • The digital display shows total energy absorbed during impact, measured by an encoder at low friction.
  • Windage and friction loss can be read on the display performing a free swing of the hammer.
  • Double scale energy switch and dial (Joules) allows the user to select the scale of the digital read-out depending on the potential energy of the hammer used.
    Energy selection: 1 - 2 - 2.75 - 4 - 5.5 - 7.5 - 11 - 15 - 22 - 25 Joules. British Unit (BU) Scale on request.
  • A wide range of interchangeable vices allows tests in IZOD, CHARPY and TENSIBLE IMPACT modes. Sturdy raised vices used with shorter hammers produce different impact velocities as specified by international standards.
  • Full selection of non-instrumented hammers is available for different energies, impact velocities (2.9, 3.46 and 3.7 m/s) and impact modes.

Ancillary Equipement

  • CRYOMATIC, a conditioning chamber for specimens with temperature range -70 up to 100°C, and CRYOBOX, a variable temperature test chamber which allows conditioning not only of specimens, but also of Charpy and Izod vices, with a working range -50 up to 20°C
  • Resil Impactor Junior offers also the possibility to carry out Charpy tests on small pipes, with outside diameter from to 4 to 20 mm, according to ISO/DIS 7628-2. The necessary equipment (optional) is made up of Charpy hammer, vice and special adapter for housing pipes.
