Digital Wear Analysis Software

digital_wear_analysis_software.jpg (6435 octets)Introducing the first objective wear measurement technique for all types of materials.

The new TaberWear software and scanner package offers the first truly objective technique for defining and measuring wear. This unique software allows you to quantity wear standards, replacing subjective visual standards with an objective standard for repeatable and reproducible results. Materials include laminate flooring, textiles, leather, plastic and painted parts.

Record, store and share objective wear measurements using digital technology.

TeberWear virtually eliminates human error and variability in wear standards caused by subjective measurement, varying test conditions, lighting and others factors. Once you define wear endpoints and testing parameters, you're assured of consistent, accurate results that can be electronically recorded, stored and shared with remote sites to assure regardless of external factors.

Flexible software tools provide customized analysis.

Along with TaberWear's versatile software tools, the package includes an Acer scanner and MiraScan software that provide additional flexibility, including adjustable scanning and color tolerences that allow you to tailor measurement techniques to each material's properties.

Standard Features

  • Repeatable and reproducible results
  • Define wear with an easy click-and-point process
  • Calculate wear as total abraded pixels or total percentage of wear
  • Choice of Intensity Analysis and Color Analysis methodologies
  • Screen image can be saved in JPEG format for printing and exporting Summary "Stats" screens show all quadrant results simultaneously
  • Adjustable RGB color settings for customization of analysis parameters
  • Works with Taber Abraser and Linear Abraser

Measure wear using two objective methodologies.
DigiWear scans test samples and counts digital units of color called pixels, measuring wear as the difference between the base color and abraded section. The Intensity Analysis method measures color contrast between the base and endpoint colors. The Color Analysis method is used there is little change between the base and endpoint colors.
