Waterra Inertial Pump
Designed for simplicity

The Waterra Inertial Pump was designed from the onset to meet four goals: simplicity, performance and quality sample collection in a package affortable enough to delicate to every well. Waterra found that by eliminating complex and over-engineered components like bladders, pistons and submersible motors that a low cost, easy to operate pump could be produced.

The final product consists only of a footvalve and a lenght of plastic tubing that when oscillated up and down in the well produces a flow of water. Our clients have found that our simple, reliable and versatile sampling system excels in performance, yet is easily affortable. In the field, Waterra has always performed beyond the expectations of such a simple design.

Cost Effective Dedicated Sampling Pumps

A Better Solution :
Dedicated sampling systems are regarded by groundwater professionals to provide better quality and more representaive samples at a dramatically reduced cost. Waterra pumps cost little more than baillers to dedicate, yet equal or exceed far more costly pumps in performance.

Reduced Sampling Costs :
Installing dedicated pumps to all your wells eliminates costly field blanks, lowers the risk and associated costs of cross contamination and reduces labor expenses by minimizing tedious tasks and poorly utilized field labor.

Price Advantage :
The Waterra Inertial System offers dedicated installations at a price comparable to that of bailers, but with superior performance and flexibility. Waterra further extends system range and capabilities by providing reliable and easy to use manual, electric or gas powered actuators.

A performance Range For Virtually Any Well

Waterra has four pumping ranges to ensure that virtually any well from small diameter piezometers to large diameter, deep rock wells can be sampled efficiently. The four ranges are : Micro Flow, Low Flow, Standard Flow and High Flow. All four systems work by the same inertial principle and differ only in dimensions.

Flow Rates

Flow Rates vary from well to well based on depth, well diameter, well recovery and pumping system selected. Flows as little as 0.3 gpm are sustainable with the Micro Flow system and up to 4.0 gpm with the High Flow system.

Lift Capability

Waterra has flow system that operate to depths well beyond 100 feet and under certain conditions to depths approaching 230 feet. Waterra's automated pumps make sampling deep wells as easy as shallow wells and allow the sampler the freedom to perform other tasks while the pump does the work.

Range and Well Diameters

Wells as small as 0.5" I.D. and wells up to 6" I.D. are easily sampled with Waterra's pumping line giving the inertial pumping system greater range than any other pump on the market.

Ease to use

The inherently simple design of Waterra pumps makes them completely intuitive in operation and require no manuals or training to operate at maximum efficiency. The simplicity of the system means little can break down, wear-out or frustrate the user. In the field simplicity means efficiency!

Versability

The Waterra system saves time and additional expenses by utilizing the same pump to perform well development, purcing and sampling tasks.

Well Development

Well development is one of the most critical areas of groundwater monitoring practices. Typical objectives include : Removal of sediment from the filter pack and reduced sample turbidity.
