Model SP-84 Sampling Pump System
Designed for fast and accurate sampling of wells for ground water quality studies. The SP-84 incorporates the use of a progressing cavity pumping head (rotor and stator) capable of delivering a minimum of 1.2 gpm at 10' of head and 0.3 gpm at 150' of head. The pump is designed to operate at low rpm and is capable of producing a uniform, continuous flow at low velocity.

The unit is mechanically lowered to the desired depth supported by the power cable which is connected to the auto/battery monitor and 12V DC vehicle battery. The water sample is transferred to the ground surface through 3/8" ID polyethylene or Teflon tubing.

The typeof pumping head utilized will allow finer grained materials such as silts and sands to pass through without clogging the unit. The modular design is simple and requires no special tools for repairing and cleaning the pump in the field.

A new monobloc design 12 V DC motor has been developped to allow continuous operation of the pump for mini-aquifer tests and evacuation of greater volumes of groundwater. The SP-84 submersible sampling is constructed of 303/304 stainless steel with the stator composed of a highly resistant elastomer of an ethylene-propylene diene monitor (EPDM).
