Efficiency
Using a standard three temperature profile, heat block cyclers can take two to three times longer than an air thermocycler. This slow temperature rate hinders research and increases the time to produce results. Indy races ahead of the competition by completing a three temperature, 30 cycle reation in less than 35 minutes. Cleaner Product
High speed thermocycling leaves less time for primer extension at non-specific annealing sites. The amount of nonspecific product is often a direct result of the time spent at low temperatures. Indy's rapid transitions maximize product specificity.

Maximum Yield
As a reaction proceeds, the efficiency decreases. This is due in part to competition between primers and reaction product. Rapid cool-down (> 2.5°C/sec) favors the kinetics of primer annealing over the thermodynamic advantage of product reannealing. This in turn yields a higher final concentration of product.

Quick & Easy Programming
Indy's clean backlit screen provides clear and easy programming instructions, making even the most complex protocols simple to program. Once the cycling begins, Indy's run screen displays precise data as to where you are in your reaction process. Indy can store up to 10 individual users and allow each user to save up to 20 programs each, that's 200 saved programs.

Uniform and Accurate Temperature Control

The instrument's cylindrical chamber provides sample-to sample uniformity within +/- 0.5 °C. Because the entire sample tube is enclosed in the sample chamber, Indy does not require a heated lid. The chamber is heated via a resistive heating element and cooled with ambient air.
