The Elcometer 108 is an extremely versatile hydraulic adhesion tester which will cope with virtually any adhesion test requirement. Tests can be made on flat, concave and convex surfaces. The instrument can be operated at any angle.

Pipemaster heating tongs supplied with the kit remove the dollies from the test surface thus making the adhesion test semi non-destructive is coating does not fail.

The Principle

The instrument is attached to a dolly glued to the coating surface. Turning the instrument's handle increases the hydraulic pressure on a steel pin which forces the dolly away from the substrate. The value of the force is displayed and the maximum recorded on the dial.

Curved Dollies

A wide range of curved dollies are available each designed for a specific range of curvature. Convex and concave dollies are for use on externally and internally curved surfaces respectively.
