| Originally made for the grain industry, these triers and sampling probes have finding application for other materials such as granular minerals, ores, and chemicals. They take representative samples from various levels in the sack, box or bin, and in most instances are then dumped through the hollow handle. The double tube probe is inserted into media and the inner probe is turned to expose the sampling slots.The open units are discharged through the opening in the handle and the closed (partitioned) units provide an individual increment for each strata opening. |

Essentially rust proof, being constructed of seamless brass, bronze, or with plated steel points. Model 7 is designed for penetrating soft solids such as mud and paste. The models 60 and 61 are open type, and the probe slots are spiral oriented. Other probes, 72", 96", 120" and 144" are available. Write.
