Operation Simplicity
Simply select a pre-configured user program -- clearly identified by an alphanumeric description -- and run your samples. It's just that easy to obtain final answers. Full-text prompts and soft keys guarantee flawless interaction with the system via a graphical, backlit liquid-crystal display (LCD).

Enhanced ProDU-ctivity
Now, even a small lab can afford its own UV/Vis spectrophotometer so that measurements can be taken at the user's convenience. The system stores data and allows you to review, print or send the data through the RS-232 interface.
Diagnostic routines are automatically performed upon startup -- and you can execute additional performance checks at any time to guarantee accurate results. With the ability of the system to work in six different languages, you're most likely to have an instrument that speaks your lingo.

Interchangeable Sampling MoDU-les
A unique, moDU-lar sample compartment accommodates a variety of single and multi-celled accessories. Sampling moDU-les are exchanged in just seconds by simply unlatching and removing the current moDU-le, and replacing it with a moDU-le that supports another application. You can easily add a multicell, Peltier temperature control, sipper sampling, or flow cell moDU-le for a customized system that meets all your application requirements.

Complete Applications Software Package
The DU- Series 500 is the system of choice. The instrument comes standard with all application programs, so there's no need to purchase additional software options to address your application requirements.
Both quantitative and qualitative analyses are addressed, with easy-to-use integrated applications programs. The intuitive user interface and proven algorithms proDU-ce quality results at the press of a button.

Data Handling
DU- Series 500 systems are equipped with a parallel printer port and a serial interface (RS-232) to connect to a computer. Most dot-matrix printers, HP DeskJet Series and HP LaserJet printers are supported. The systems store data in memory, which can be recalled, printed, or transferred to a computer.

Optical Principle
The DU- Series 500 consists of a Seya-Namioka split beam monochromator and features a high-resolution grating with 1200 lines/nm. Thus, providing the conveniences of a single/split beam optical design and accurate results.

System Support
The DU- Series 500 is a "plug-and-play" system that does not require installation by service personnel. The quality and responsiveness of Beckman Coulter service and support is well-known and always available should you need it. In addition, technical applications support can be obtained from Beckman Coulter scientists.
